Let's *not* go to war with Iran. Sound good?

In the meantime, there's a Flash movie floating around claiming that the Pentagon 9/11 attack may have been an intentional government strike and not made by a plane crash, but rather a missile. I suspect it's a conspiracy theory, but it's being looked into.

Supplemental Budget = Supplemental Debt

Wow. We all knew Bush's new budget was absolute bullshit, cutting so much as to piss people off yet still increasing the deficit to its largest amount ever at the same time.

Pundits called the President on his little game of bait and switch, showing how he deliberately left out estimations for extra costs in Iraq (and whatever other potential wars he may start). Now it's only been a few days and he already proved all of the cynics right. Expect more of this out of our second term President, he doesn't even have to pretend to try anymore. This new request has been referred to as a "supplemental budget," and asks for an additional $80 billion on top of the $419.3 billion already allocated to the military.

Just for kicks, I figured how much money this would cost if the White House continued the trend of asking for another $80 billion every seven days. The total came out to almost $16.5 trillion. What a nice big number.
